While this is a pretty picture, you'll notice my recently commissioned trackday bike, in the trailer, is more than a bit frumpy, wearing nothing but factory gelcoat on it's fiberglass race fairings.

I hung all the bodywork up in my garage and proceeded to base coat and clear coat them with a nice blue that, while not an exact duplicate of the factory paint, is pretty close!

Thanks! I ran it for basically a whole summer, did maybe 6-7 events with it. Paint held up great, then I sold it (cha-ching!) and the guy I sold it to repainted the whole bike some dark gunmetal, almost black colour, and now it looks terrible. - booneylander January 24th 2016
