At some point, Sean was going to take the black A4. During the search for a motor, Sean found this silver A4 in London? that was being parted out. We both asked about the motor, Sean was told 750, I was told 650. I continued the discussion and considered using my A8 to haul the motor back, Jen offered her A4 as she was going to the area anyways. She went to check it out and sure enough the guy offered the entire car to her for 650 bucks. She verified with Sean in Hawaii, and he said fuck yes. They took it to a buddies place where it hung around until he could pick it up and trailer it back to Ottawa. Once it was back to Ottawa, Sean counted how many projects he had between garden tilling to marine motor rebuilds to heritage home restorations and asked if I wanted the whole project. We settled to make sure no one is out coin and high fived.

June 25, 2017 Barry and I tackled the task of removing the motor and stripping what we could from this A4. Within three hours we had the motor/trans, doors, bumper, rad support, complete front suspension all removed, and in the truck, all while Myah and Sarah asked a million and one questions while going on a nut and bolt collecting hunt. It was 11:00 and Barry and I looked at each other and ask who brought beer. :| Neither of us did, so we decided to pick at little things a little more. While Barry went on a bolt collecting frenzy, I messed around with smaller things that I thought would yield something. I've never seen Barry like this before, he moved so fast, with such purpose, poised to find the next clean M6 hex bolt for a solid hour, I now know where the girls get it from. Needless to say, we picked this thing pretty clean.

Got the motor unloaded at home separated the transmission and started to compile things for sale.
Things I noticed about the motor, one of the nuts for the turbo/down pipe was missing/never reinstalled. There were also about 5 missing bell housing bolts. Whoever did the last clutch swap clearly didnt care.
