The geiser grand is a historic hotel and purported to be haunted. Fishing bridge, yellowstone (mile 78) fishing bridge offers all the facilities you need to prepare for your time in yellowstone national park, including general store and gas station plus the historic fishing bridge museum and visitor center. Yellowstone facilities are pretty much closed down by the end of the month and into november you could well see snow and almost certainly night time temps well below freezing, with day time temps possibly only just above You won't be wanting your hammock here then !!

Over time, the rivers cut canyons in the caldera and spill over falls at the caldera's edge The falls river is typical. Back to yellowstone through the south entrance and exiting at the west entrance, then heading north to bozeman through the gallatin mountains We did stop for construction for 15 minutes or so, but otherwise traffic was great the whole way
We stopped in yellowstone to wade in the fire hole river (again, nice and warm!), and also view geysers.
Returning via the grand canyon would mean a full 5 days for the trip home from yellowstone, and that means 9 of your 14 days would be taken up driving
