But i was able to leave the driveshaft, cooler lines, shifter cable all attached, loosened the trans mount and placed a jack under the trans (with wood blocking to spread the load).i have a plastic transmission.
Since the trannny is new, and it's got new fluid in it, it was so clean that i couldn't tell if it was full or not on the dipstick, so i overfilled it by about a quart (or maybe a more). This tranny is about 1 1/2 years old and probably doesn't have 1500 miles on the rebuild It is an '89 model I had it completely gone thru with the typical extra clutch packs, corvette servo, new reaction shield (?) and a transgo shift kit, etc
